Greetings,

National Call-In Day October 7th

Action Request One:

Keep the Push On!  Just a little while longer folks.  Alert all the available dialers you know.  On October 7th we are asking all state and local labor feds, local and district councils (all your members) to personally call your Senators.  Urge your Senators to tell Majority Leader Reid that we want to see:

* A strong public insurance option

* An employer mandate without exemptions for small employers

* No premium excise tax in the bill sent to the Senate floor

Action Request Two:

* Send Letters to your Senators

Action Request Three:

* Urge House Representatives to tell Speaker Pelosi that they want to see the public insurance option, an employer mandate and no premium excise tax in the bill she brings to the House floor.

Action Request Four:

* Urge your House Representative to sign on to the anti-premium tax "Dear Colleague" being circulated by Rep. Joe Courtney urging the House Leadership not to include the premium tax in the House bill.  Last Friday over 115 Representatives had signed on.  Representative Moore has already done so and he should be thanked for standing up for working families.

This is a pivotal week in determining how good the bills will be that go to the full House and Senate floor votes in the coming weeks.
