Since 1992, Kentucky Jobs with Justice has been bringing together community groups, faith organizations, labor leaders and community and students activists into a powerful coalition that fights for economic and social justice throughout Kentucky. Kentucky JwJ’s mission is to improve working people’s standard of living, fight for job security, and protect workers’ right to organize. Kentucky JwJ’s core belief is that in order to be successful, workers’ rights struggles have to be part of a larger campaign for economic and social justice. We put this into practice by mobilizing support for community and labor struggles at rallies and on picket-lines, through letter-writing and phone-in campaigns, and at educational forums and public hearings.
