Co-sponsored by United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1500, this panel will bring together workers and experts who represent different points in food and agricultural supply chains controlled by international food corporations. Panelists will discuss common labor injustices from the point of agricultural production (at the farm level), to the shipping of the product, to the retail sale of the product in US grocery stores.

Panelists will include:

Jose Schiffino, Fair Trade Committee chairperson of the NYC chapter of the Labor Council for Latin-American Advancement (LCLAA) and former organizer with the Greengrocer Campaign

 

Amanda Camacho, Colombian flower worker and president of her union, ASOPAPAGAYO
