Greetings, The 2008 legislative session is now underway. Team MAPE’s first priority this legislative session will be early ratification of our collective bargaining agreement. CLICK HERE to contact your legislators about this important issue. Last year MAPE negotiated what the majority of our members consider a very good contract. The agreement was signed by members of the Pawlenty administration; it was approved by 89 percent of our voting members and unanimously passed by our board of directors. There is just one step left: Legislative approval. Early passage of our contract will give MAPE members peace of mind knowing that our collectively bargained benefits, like health care, will not be in jeopardy.
