Dear Futures Members, The next Futures Steering Committee meeting, previously scheduled for Thursday, October 29th, has been postponed to Thursday, November 12th, 6:00 PM at IBEW Local 2222 (1137 Washington St. in Dorchester). Our original meeting has been postponed due to the Massachusetts AFL-CIO's Special U.S. Senate Election Candidates Forum taking place this Thursday, October 29th, 7:30 PM at Iron Workers Local 7 (195 Old Colony Ave. in South Boston). I encourage you to attend both of these events. If you wish to attend the Candidates Forum this Thursday, please check first with your local's Business Manager or President and then RSVP to Meghann Connolly at mconnolly@massaflcio.org or (781) 324-8230. Please remember that all younger union members are welcome and encouraged to attend the Futures Steering Committee meeting on November 12th, so please spread the word. The holidays are fast approaching and we will be discussing how the Futures Program can best assist families in need during the coming months.
