Candlelight Vigil to Support Outsourced Hyatt Workers

Wednesday, November 11th

5:00 PM

At the Hyatt Regency Hotel

1 Avenue de Lafayette in Boston

In September of this year, three Hyatt hotels in the Boston area abruptly laid off ninety-eight housekeepers, replacing them with lesser paid temporary workers with no benefits. Since then, these housekeepers have been engaged in the fight of their lives to regain their jobs. Please join these workers, their families, and many supporters from the labor and faith communities as they demand justice from the Hyatt.

Click here to read a resolution passed at the 2009 Massachusetts AFL-CIO Constitutional Convention urging Hyatt Hotels to rehire the ninety-eight outsourced housekeepers, and here for President Haynes' letter to Hyatt CEO Mark Hoplamazian informing him that the Massachusetts AFL-CIO will not patronize any Hyatt hotel until they do so.
