Help Build a Strong Union! Get Involved! |

Greetings,
Dear Members,
Legislative leaders have scheduled town hall
meetings/hearings all around the state to gather input on the
governor's budget proposals.
Education MN needs your help in attending these
meetings.
In addition, it will be incredibly valuable if you speak at
the meeting about any of the following:
* What is happening in your district or campus -
tell your local stories, be specific. (IN MPS, $28 million debt
this year and $36 next year...much due to the underfunding of
special ed and other mandates)
* How the lack of funding is affecting your
students, your schools and/or your work site (huge class sizes
and caseloads!)
* The need for equitable, sustainable,
predictable, and sufficient education funding.
Speakers can sign up in advance using the following
link. It is likely people will also be able to sign up to
speak when they attend a meeting.
Below you will find a list of meetings in your area.
Your attendance and your assistance in getting as many people as
possible to these meetings are greatly appreciated. Please
let me know if you plan on attending or if you have any
questions.
