See reminder below from Margaret Anderson Kelliher of
upcoming Town Hall meetings on the MN budget.
It is important for as many of us as
possible to attend the Minneapolis Town Hall
meeting on the 24th. The address is 2117 West River
Road...just a couple of blocks north of Broadway Ave. and right
on the river. The meeting starts at 6 pm.
I know how busy you are but our voices need to be heard
on education funding. If you cannot make this
meeting, look to see if there are others nearer to your home and
on a different evening that might work better for
you.

Dear Citizens,
The Minnesota legislature recently scheduled a series
of Town Hall meetings to discuss Governor Pawlenty's budget
recommendations. The meetings began this week and will
continue next week in several meto-area locations. I
encourage you to attend one of these meetings at whatever
location is most convenient for you.
Please note that each meeting offers the opportunity
for attendees to sign up to speak. While signing up is not a
guarantee (based on turnout) that someone will get a
chance to speak, House and Senate staff will make an
effort to prioritize those that sign up ahead of time.
House Democrats know that the solution to this budget
crisis involves finding ways to make Minnesota stronger
and government work more efficiently for taxpayers. We
also know that the best solutions are found when all of us come
together to share ideas. In that spirit, I encourage you
to lend your perspective to this important discussion
about the future of our state.
