Dear Citywide Special Education Teachers,

The MPS Special Education Department recently announced budget cuts of approximately 3 million dollars.  One area of these cuts included SEA staff from Citywide programs across MPS.  This survey is intended for all Special Education teachers in Citywide Special Education programs to gather feedback regarding the impact the cuts to SEA staff may have on students in these programs.  If these cuts do not affect your program, you may elect to answer only those questions that apply.  Thank you for taking a few minutes to complete this.  Your feedback is vital.   Take the survey by clicking on:

In addition,  we are calling an emergency meeting of Citywide Special Education staff to discuss the recent budget cuts to Citywide programs that are going to greatly impact the students in these programs.  The Executive Director of Special Education, Don Allen, has agreed to come to MFT to answer questions and listen to all comments/suggestions you may have.

When:   Wednesday, April 15, 4:30 - 6:00

Where:  MFT offices at 67  8th Ave NE, 55413  
(just off the Plymouth Ave bridge across from Boom Island)

Who:      Any Special Education Citywide staff who wish to attend
