Learn more about the Self-Governed Schools opportunity by attending either of two informational workshops:

Self-Governed Schools had their origins in a bill MFT-Local 59 pushed through the Legislature in 2005. This session, MFT was joined by the District and others to support an expansion of that law, with more autonomy and, over time, planning and start-up funding. So, this is a joint MPS-MFT initiative, led by a "Bridge Committee," that also has parent and community members.
