FEDERAL WORKERS' RIGHTS

LOCAL FEDERAL WORKERS CAN WIN BACK IMPORTANT RIGHTS

Your Senators can drive the next stake through the heart of the outrageous attack on federal workers' rights known as the "National Security Personnel System" or NSPS. Tens of thousands of DOD employees have voiced their opposition to NSPS, calling it arbitrary, unfair, and an insult to their patriotism.

The Courts have labeled the plan, "the antithesis of fair treatment". On June 20, the full House if Representatives voiced its opposition to NSPS, approving an amendment to the House Defense Appropriations bill that eliminated funding for the labor relations and employee appeals portions of NSPS. This win can show the Bush Administration that voters will push back its attacks on American workers.

During this month, the Senate is expected to vote on an amendment to their version of the Defense Appropriations bill to defund the labor relations and appeals portions of NSPS, putting the personnel plan will be on life support. Contact your US Senator today.  Urge them to support an amendment to the Defense Appropriations Bill to block funding for NSPS.

Subject: LOCAL FEDERAL WORKERS' CAN WIN BACK IMPORTANT RIGHTS

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

I am writing to urge you to support an amendment to the Defense Appropriations bill to defund the NSPS (National Security Personnel System).

DOD employees have spoken. The Courts and the House of Representatives have spoken. Now it's time for the Senate to act by defunding NSPS! With the Army already scheduling layoffs due to insufficient funding and other program experiencing significant budget shortfalls, the cost of implementing the legally challenged, unproven, unfair, and costly personnel system should not be allowed by Congress.

Please support the effort to block funding for NSPS . I look forward to your response to my request.

Sincerely,
