Call these legislators on this very important matter!!!

Please send this new email and call the legislators below and ask for their help.

The FAA has announced that on Jan. 4th it intends to separate radar and tower services at Orlando International Airport (MCO).  The FAA has agreed to postpone the splitting of other FAA services but NOT at MCO.   Postponing this split will give the Congress and the new administration an opportunity to complete its work on the FAA Reauthorization bill.   This issue should be addressed when the FAA and/or Congress can implement a review process that ensures that realignments serve their stated purpose: to provide operational benefit to users, increase safety, provide cost savings, and enhance modernization of the system.

Sample Letter for Campaign

Subject: Orlando Tower and TRACON

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced that on January 9th it intends to separate radar and tower air traffic services at the Orlando International Airport (MCO). Similar plans for the Miami and Philadelphia towers were terminated after reviewing configuration alternatives, revealing the need for an adequate selection and review process for realignment at the FAA. The flawed realignment process at the FAA demands that the decombining of the Orlando tower should not move forward.

As a constituent, I hope that you will sign the delegation letter being circulated asking FAA's Chief Operating Officer, Hank Krakowski, to postpone this decision until it can be properly vetted to ensure that it is done safely and meets all of the stated goals of the realignment, including enhancing system efficiency, meeting specific operational needs and saving the taxpayers' money.

I consider this an issue that seriously affects our community.

Sincerely,
