Greetings, With only three more weekends to go before Election
Day, Saturday's grassroots mobilization included another
record-breaking 1,279 canvassers, representing
53 different local unions, walking door-to-door
and visiting the households of their union brothers and
sisters. Their one-on-one conversations about
working family issues are building support for the candidates
who back strong plans to turn around America.
In addition to the labor walks this week, New Jersey
State AFL-CIO volunteers will distribute leaflets at worksites
on McCain's plan to tax our healthcare, send mail to union
households about union members running for local office, and
make phone calls to union members all over the state.
Thank you to all of the unions who participated and
made Saturday a great success. We still need your help to
ensure the voice of working families is heard on November
4th. Click Here for
a list of locations to volunteer over the next three
weeks!
