Support District 1199C Health Care Workers on Strike
Against Innova Health and Rehabilitation

Please attend rallies in support of striking workers this Saturday, February 28, 2009.

Approximately 80 nurses at two Innova facilities have been without a contract since April 2008 and have been on strike since January 23, 2009.  During the strike, Innova has employed agency nurses and also has began to hire permanent strike replacements.  This behavior is union busting at its worst.

Patient care is a priority for the nurses of 1199C AFSCME.  Unfortunately, it appears the priority for the management of Innova is simply increased profits.

The New Jersey State AFL-CIO is supporting these striking workers by marching with them in solidarity on the picket line.  Rallies will occur this Saturday, February 28, 2009.  The first will occur at the Deptford facility located at 1511 Clements Bridge Road at 11:00 a.m.  The second will occur on the same day at  1:00 p.m. at the Hammonton facility located at 43 North White Horse Pike.  Please support the nurses of 1199C by attending these events.
