Greetings,
With the Employee Free Choice Act being introduced into both
the House and Senate (H.R. 1409 & S. 560) on March 10, 2009,
yesterday marked a great day for working families all across the
nation that wish to exercise their right to freely form and join
a union.
We must send a clear message to the members of Congress that
we need their support to pass this bill and that it is the right
thing to do for working families. We will encourage New Jersey's
workers to share their stories explaining to the Congress why it
is impossible to have a free and fair election while employers
blatantly engage in anti-union tactics and by doing so, violate
the law.
Members of the New Jersey Congressional Delegation that have
come out in support of the Employee Free Choice Act deserve our
appreciation and thanks. All are encouraged to contact their
representatives in Washington to congratulate them on their
choice to support the working families of New Jersey and the
nation. Your support is essential in making sure our elected
officials stand firm on their decision and can withstand the
constant bombardment from hostile corporate lobbyists.
There are only three Republican House members co-sponsoring
this bill in the nation and two are from New Jersey. Find out
