NJ State AFL-CIO E-Activist Network

Greetings,

On Thursday, July 16, 2009, we invite you to join President Barak Obama and thousands of union activists at Rutgers University in New Brunswick for a rally to support Governor Jon Corzine's bid for reelection. The upcoming election is of particular importance to those in the labor movement because 10 years of our legislative accomplishments are at stake. By standing in solidarity with our president and governor, we can engage one another and commit to achieving victory on November 3, 2009.

The rally will take place at the following time and place:

              Date:   Thursday, July 16, 2009

Time:   Doors open at 12:00 Noon

Place:   Rutgers University in New Brunswick
Voorhees Mall between College Ave. and George St.

Admission is free and will be based on a first come first serve basis. Space will be limited and we anticipate that over 40,000 people will be in attendance. We urge you to register as soon as possible to reserve your spot at the rally. Ticket requests can be made through Communications Director, Lee Sandberg (609) 989-8730 or lsandberg@njaflcio.org.

We are counting on you to help facilitate a strong labor turnout at the rally from the New Jersey labor movement. This election will come down to the union vote, and we must work together to involve our brothers and sisters in the election effort. We look forward to seeing you at the upcoming rally and working together over the next few months to reelect Governor Jon Corzine.

Sincerely,

Charles Wowkanech, President
