Hi,
Leadership Needed in Planning!
The October 14 Jobs with Justice planning session finds North
Texas workers at several crossroads, by the edge of a cliff, and
between rocks and hard places.
- Will we resolve our health care crisis
favorably?
- Will we win the right to organize?
- Is it possible to build a large, viable progressive
coalition for worker justice?
- Can we successfully involve civil rights,
community, and religious organizations?
- How can we meet the economic crisis, especially
unemployment?
For some months, we have been discussing economic fightback,
building a coalition of construction workers, organizing
immigrants, training organizers, and creating a Workers Center.
We need to put our plans into a readable document that can be
used in a serious drive for implementation! That's going to take
the best efforts of a number of volunteers.
Please join us at the North Texas Jobs with Justice planning
session, 7 PM, 2nd Wednesday, October 14, at UAW 848 union hall,
2218 E Main in Grand Prairie. Your input is vital!

We Have a New Weapon!
I've begun to bring video into our arsenal of information
spreading. When Phyllis Guest joined me on the "Workers Beat"
program on KNON, I made a tiny video and put it on YouTube.
Check it
out! We can do a lot of this type of thing. On Monday, Oct
19, Dr Joerg Rieger will join me to talk about his new book and
the 'Faith and Reason' seminar that weekend.
