Aloha,

Important Insurance Information!

It was reported earlier, when the Delta HR representative was here in HNL, that if you chose PPO Option B and your physician was listed under OOA (Out of Area) and noted as “In Network” than In Network coverage would apply.

Upon further investigation, this is NOT the case.

Delta HR now states that the only way a FA will get in-network coverage under the PPO Option B is to choose doctors listed in the UHC Choice Plus/network plans. If the FA chooses PPO Option B and uses a OOA "in-network" doctor (who is not on the UHC Choice Plus/Network in-network list), they will pay out-of-network charges. The only way to get in-network rates using a OOA in-network doctor is to be eligible and sign-up for the OOA plan.

If you are eligible for the OOA plan, it will show up as an option in Benefits Direct on the open enrollment worksheet.

Delta HR has advised that there is a problem with the type of plan being displayed on the pre-enrollment site, www.myhealthcareview.com.  The site should have given network providers who are part of the UHC Choice Plus network.  UHC will correct the problem within 24 hours and employees who want to check the network providers for the Delta plans again in HNL will probably find more providers listed than previously.  Please check the UHC pre-enrollment site again Thursday afternoon before making a final selection.

You can change any previous selection at any time until 12am Midnight (EST) on the last date of the enrollment period.

Your MEC is working diligently to get answers to the many questions that have poured in since open enrollment started.  AFA International is in the process of completing a video that will be posted on the MEC website with helpful information in addition to a side-by-side comparison of the medical options.  Visit www.nwaafa.org and click on the Medical Enrollment link for updated information.

While Delta HR representatives and Deltanet have plenty of information about Delta HRA and HSA based medical plans, they have very little information for you regarding PPO Option B.
