Dear Minnesota Resident Flight Attendants,

Our Government Affairs Committee has been busy lobbying in Washington D.C. this past week for the expeditious replacement of National Mediation Board Chairperson, Read Van de Water.  You may know that Ms. Van de Water is a former senior executive and lobbyist for Northwest Airlines and we believe it is a conflict of interest that she oversees our upcoming representational election.  So far the support received with the House and Senate has been fantastic, but we need your help to make sure Congress and the President make this change with all haste...

We have asked Minnesota Senator Amy Klobachar to author a letter that will speed up this process.  As the Senator considers this request, we ask that her Minnesota constituents  write and encourage her to take this step on behalf of the thousands of families employed by the New Delta Air Lines in our state.  Please phone the senator's Washington office and leave the following message (it is unlikely you will speak directly with staffers, but leaving a message is just as effective!):

Phone: 202.224.3244

"Hello, my name is ________________ and I am a Northwest Airlines flight attendant residing in Minnesota.  I'm calling to thank the Senator for recognizing the importance in replacing the National Mediation Board Chairperson, Read Van de Water.  The removal of Chairperson Van de Water will help ensure a fair representational election for the Delta and Northwest flight attendants.  Thank You!"
