DELTA SENIORITY
INTEGRATION COMMITTEE
ANNOUNCEMENT
The pre-merger Delta In-Flight
Seniority Integration Committee on Wednesday announced its
position on a fair and equitable seniority integration method
for the combined Delta/Northwest flight attendant
workgroup.
The
committee has decided on a methodology using the flight
attendants’ In-Flight seniority date. That means flight
attendants would be slotted into the list based on the seniority
date they currently use for bidding
purposes.
“We
are pleased that the In-Flight Seniority Integration Committee
has reached a decision, and we are in the process of reviewing
their position,” said Joanne Smith, s.v.p.-In-Flight
Service. “My thanks go out to the 14 members of the
committee who worked tirelessly on behalf of the flight
attendants these last few months. Directly involving our people
in the seniority integration process is a testament to our
partnership with frontline
employees.”
The
seniority integration process continues for employees in Airport
Customer Service, Cargo and Reservation Sales. Smaller groups
that have seniority-based employees will work directly with
Delta leaders to help identify a fair and equitable result for
their group.
