Following two days of discussion, your
Northwest Master Executive Council held an election today for
the position of Vice President. Absent any letters of
interest submitted by our membership, two dedicated union
activists volunteered to serve in this role for our members and
were subsequently nominated by members of the Master Executive
Council. The
nominations were for Local 91 President Joshua Zivick and Local
94 Council Representative Daniel Grey.
Daniel Grey was elected by a majority vote
of our MEC and he is now our new Master Executive Council
Vice President. Daniel will immediately assume the
position of MEC Vice President and will serve out the current
term, which ends in June 2010.
The MEC wishes to thank both Joshua and
Daniel for their willingness to serve their fellow NWA flight
attendants during this exciting time. We look forward to
continuing to work with them and all of you, in our ongoing
efforts to uphold our legal contract, and in our fight to keep
our right to collective bargaining for many years to come.
Congratulations to Daniel Grey for being
selected as our new MEC Vice President!
