DTW
U.S. Customs Crew
Line Information
There is an effort
underway to open a second crew line in DTW Customs and
Immigration due to the lengthy wait times at certain times of
the day. Please
submit documentation to Local 94 when long waits occur, in order
to better track this problem. If you are having repeated problems clearing
Customs due to mistaken identity or a common name on the
“watch list,” please contact Local 94 for more
information about the Department of Homeland Security Traveler
Redress Inquiry Program. Many members have expressed concerns regarding
the possibility of closure of the crew line due to passenger
forms not be completed in large numbers. While this has always
been a possibility per Customs, it is also a possibility that
NWA would be levied fines for this issue instead.
