RIGHT-TO-WORK (FOR LESS) IN MICHIGAN

Representatives have renewed the campaign to make Michigan a Right-to-Work state.  Please join AFA LEC 94 and the AFL-CIO to take action to oppose this alarming initiative in Michigan!

Representatives Jacob Hoogendyk, Jr. (R-Portage) and Kevin Elsenheimer (R-Bellaire) have introduced a two bill legislative package that would make Michigan a right-to-work (for less) state.  Hoogendyke's bill (HB 4454) would impact private sector workers.  Elsenheimer's bill (HB 4455) would impact public employees.  These bills have been referred to the House Labor Committee.

These bills increase corporate profits by destroying unions, cutting worker pay and eliminating benefits.

Please click on the attached Right To Work For Less in Michigan flyer that shows what's at stake.

The Michigan State AFL-CIO E-Activist Network campaign Against Michigan Right-To-Work Legislation can be found at the URL below and allows you to send your own message directly to the relevant decision makers.  If you reside in Michigan, please take a moment to send this e-activist message to your State Representative and Senator.  Your message will automatically be directed to the appropriate representatives, based upon the address that you enter.
