July Reserve Scheduling
Alert
from your NWA-AFA
Scheduling and Reserve Committees
Your MEC Reserve and Scheduling Committees have been made
aware of an issue with the July SLIC awards. Several
flight attendants holding schedules in June with carry-out
to a July Reserve line may be affected. In these cases,
some were awarded Reserve lines with less than the contractually
required 12 days off. Crew Scheduling is aware of this
problem.
Affected Flight Attendants should
contact Crew Scheduling (866-612-0001) no earlier than June
20th and no later than the 27th to receive the
additional days off required. Crew Scheduling has advised THEY will choose
replacement day(s) off if Flight Attendants do not contact them
by the 27th! Your
NWA-AFA Scheduling Committees are working toward a resolution to
prevent future problems of this nature.
Please contact your Local Council if you
have additional questions!
SCHEDULING AND RESERVE TOWN HALL MEETING FOR
JULY
Last month’s AFA-initiated Scheduling and Reserve
Town Hall Meeting was so well received, we are coordinating
another educational forum and Question/Answer Session with AFA
MEC Officers, MEC Scheduling Chairs along with management on
Tuesday, July 22. Council 94 - DTW has
invited Director of Scheduling, Brian Moreau, for a return visit
to share contract implementation changes, PBS updates and
everything you wanted to know about Reserve and/or Scheduling
but were afraid to ask.
If
you missed last month’s meeting or have additional
questions, please take advantage of this special opportunity for
indepth explanations of scheduling and contract
issues. There will be three sessions, each
with a slightly different emphasis: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00
p.m. Open Q and A, 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Open Q and A,
and 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Reserve issues, including
SLIC/PBS questions. More details and location
to follow.
