AFA LEC 94 Asks Members to Get Out The Vote!
 
The Tentative Agreement #3 voting deadline is May 29th, promptly at 1:30 EDT.  In order for your vote to count, you must be an Active Member in Good Standing at that time.  The attached list is the latest Local 94 DTW Member List.  If your name is NOT on the list, you need to fill out a membership application.  We still have about 400 members in DTW with no AFA Member Application on file with AFA.  If  you received a Member Application with your ballot, please fax it to AFA Membership Services (202) 434-1456 as soon as possible.  Please save your fax transmittal receipt.  You can also scan and email it to afamembership@afanet.org.  The $60 Initiation Fee will be waived until May 29, 2007.
 
If you did not receive a ballot, please contact AFA Membership Services at (800) 424-2401 ext. 706 to obtain your Activation Code over the phone.  This replacement Activation Code is valid for 12 hours and allows you to set your Voter Identification and PIN to vote online or by phone, at your convenience.  Local 94 is returning calls all weekend if there are problems and AFA International will be working as well, to ensure your vote will be counted.  Our office number is (734) 532-8404 and we are retrieving and responding to messages as needed.
 
Top reasons you may not be on the Member list and/or in Good Standing:
 
1. You have not filled out the Member Application (or if it was very recent, you haven't been added to the list. This list was created May 24th.)
 
2. You are delinquent in dues.  Please pay dues at www.afanet.org so that your vote may be counted on May 29th.
 
3. Many members are confusing dues payment with having a Member Application on file.  The Dues Check Off form can be completed on ATLAS and sent to AFA.  There are two forms for AFA and they were sent to member homes last Summer.  Additionally, Member Applications were stuffed in DTW mailboxes last Fall and earlier this month. 
 
Top reasons you may not have received a ballot:
 
1.  You moved recently and never changed your address with AFA.  Please update all contacts  at www.afanet.org.
 
2.  You have returned from leave and your status is not updated with AFA.  If you are on leave, you must pay dues for all months on leave in order to vote.
