Equity Claim Update:

AFA legal has determined that the distribution should go forward, and the MEC has elected to retain the June 8, 2007 qualification date for eligibility for the Equity Claim, so long as you meet the other eligibility requirements.

AFA is working with Northwest Payroll in an effort to attain the earliest possible distribution date. According to Northwest, the earliest date for the distribution, allowing time for adjustment of 401(k) contributions, is either June 29 or July 2. Northwest payroll must also coordinate with the programming staff, retirement department, and the credit union to determine which date is achievable. Payroll has committed to providing us a specific distribution date (whether June 29 or July 2) today, June 18.

AFA International will proceed with the internal audit of the TA3 ratification vote. Any Northwest Flight Attendant who experienced a voting problem, that you believe was in violation of the Constitution and Bylaws, is invited to submit evidence of your problem to the AFA Ballot Certification Committee, 501 Third Street NW, Washington, DC 20001.  Please send this by the June 22 deadline, established for the challenge filed earlier this month.
