New MEC
Scheduling Committee Needs Volunteers
Our new MEC Scheduling
Committee Chair Daniel Grey and MEC Vice Chair Rick Edwards will
be moving forward with some important new initiatives. Len
Koral has volunteered for the Local 94 Scheduling Committee
Chair position. We thank all three of these Local 94
members for their willingness to serve in this indispensable
committee. (FA Agreement p. 6.14.) Contractually,
this committee "shall be responsible for addressing scheduling
issues and concerns including known flying and shall be allowed
input and the opportunity to recommend changes or distribution
of future flying." Please contact all Local 94 officers at
lec94@nwaafa.org to
volunteer.
CENTRY EMAIL:
New Detroit Manager Mindy Buckley A recent
Centry Email stated;
"Mindy most recently was a Flight Attendant with Jet Blue Airlines and has
trained new employees in service
compliance and standards. She is also
instrumental in the Jet Blue diversity-related programs.
Mindy was also a Flight Attendant with NWA in the summer of
2005..." LEC 94 would like to say how very
disappointed we are in Management?s choice to hire a replacement
worker as a Detroit Inflight Manager. In summer 2005,
flight attendant replacement workers were hired and lodged at
DTW. These workers were in place in case we voted for a
sympathy strike with AMFA. None of these workers are
currently flight attendants at NWA. Always maintain your
current professionalism and contact lec94@nwaafa.org for
union representation when meeting with a manager for
disciplinary reasons.
