Candidates running for local union
office have certain rights and
responsibilities regarding campaign activities.
Excerpts from the contract (Section 23 Union
Activities) are attached to this email. The company
has agreed to allow the posting of campaign flyers at the union
bulletin board in a binder. If candidates would like
to post a flyer, please bring it the Local 94 office. DTW
Flight Attendant Lounges, all other bulletin boards, and company
mailboxes should not be used for campaign
activities, unless cleared through Detroit Inflight
Management. Please reference Section 23 of the
contract and The AFA Election Handbook for more
information.
September 17, 2007, election
ballot information will be sent from the
international office of AFA-CWA to all active members
by this date. This is an electronic ballot and voting may be
done online or via telephone. Voting period will be
September 21 - October 12, 2007. Additional questions
regarding voting eligibility and balloting may be directed to
the AFA-CWA Membership Department at afamembership@afanet.org and afadues@afanet.org.
