Greetings,

This year, more than 20,000 California janitors go to the bargaining table to build a better future for their families.

Today in California, hard-working janitors continue to struggle to make ends meet and secure decent, affordable housing on wages ranging from $17,000 to $24,000 per year, well below what it costs to raise a family and live in California.  Many of them go without the most basic necessity: health care coverage for their families.

Janitors call on the thriving hi-tech, bio-tech and commercial real estate industries and other corporations should ensure that janitors’ contributions to the California economy are rewarded with the opportunity to provide a future for their families.
