Greetings, Thanks to all of you that attended the Board of Supervisors meeting last Tuesday, October 27, 2009 as the OC Board of Supervisors considered the 1st Reading of the Anti-PLA Ordinance. The meeting for the 2nd Reading and adoption of the Ordinance is scheduled for tomorrow November 3rd. Even though the Board voted 5 to 0 in favor of the Ordinance, we are GOING BACK and here are some of the reasons why:-Orange County recently became a Charter County and if we roll over on this issue without a fight, they may attempt an Ordinance to no longer require prevailing wages. -The Board of Supervisors are Directors on the OC Transportation Authority(OCTA). They may make a move to do the same there. We are going back! We need at least the same number in attendance as we had before. COME AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!
