Don't Let President Bush Deny Health Care to 4 Million Kids!
On September 25, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to protect and expand health coverage for America's low-income children. The Senate did the same two days later. But President Bush has vowed to veto this bill—and deny doctor visits and medicine to four million American children. We can't let that happen. Email the President today! Note: edit the letter below, fill out the form to the right, and then click "send."
Dear [ Decision Maker ] , I am writing to ask that you drop your reckless threat to deny health coverage to four million low-income children. The House voted to protect and expand health care for kids by an overwhelmingly bipartisan vote. Yet you have promised to veto this bill because you falsely claim it's too expensive. I have one question for you, Mr. President: Why is it that you can find billions of dollars for your Iraq war, but you can't seem to come up with the money for health care for the most vulnerable Americans here at home? With all due respect, these are the wrong priorities. America's children need health care. Stand with them. Drop your reckless veto threat.
Sincerely, |
