Override Bush's Veto and Save Health Care for Kids in Need
President Bush has just vetoed a bill that would protect and expand health coverage for America's low-income children. Please take action to get Congress to override his veto.
On September 25, the U.S. House of Representatives, in a show of bipartisanship, voted for legislation, known as SCHIP, to give health insurance to America's neediest children. The Senate did the same two days later.
If President Bush gets his way, millions of America's children will be denied the doctor visits and medicine they need and deserve. We can't let that happen. Email your representative today and tell them to override the veto!

Subject: Don't deny healthcare to millions of American children
Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
The President is wrong to deny health coverage to millions of children from low-income families. Giving 10 million kids health insurance over the next five years would cost only a fraction of what he has spent on his Iraq war.
I urge you to do the right thing and override the President's veto.
This is the vote that matters. This is the vote that will make sure millions of children grow up with health care.
Sincerely,
