President Bush has prioritized the war in Iraq over our needs here at home. First he denied health care to needy kids when he vetoed SCHIP. Now he is threatening to veto bills that would invest in services that keep America working, healthy and competitive - things like job training for veterans, researching cures for cancer, Alzheimer's and diabetes and Head Start.
