Seniors Need a Real Prescription Drug Benefit

Subject: Don't Privatize Medicare!
Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
I am urging you to oppose the Medicare bill because it will dismantle Medicare as we know it.
Instead of creating a much needed and long awaited prescription drug benefit under Medicare, the conferees have created an inadequate benefit while undermining the fundamental principles of the Medicare program. This bill does nothing to control the skyrocketing cost of prescription drugs, has huge gaps in coverage coupled with higher premiums and threatens employer-provided retiree coverage.
This is most certainly not the answer seniors have been waiting for. We do not want to end Medicare, we want a prescription drug benefit added to it.
No bill is better than a bad bill!
