Act Now! U.S. House to Vote on Medicare Advantage
Your U.S. Representative Needs to Hear from Informed Seniors Like You!
Please join advocates and other Alliance members across the country by e-mailing a letter to your Representative and urging support for legislation that would:
1. create a level playing field for traditional Medicare and private Medicare Advantage (MA) plans;
2. Strengthen assistance for low-income seniors; and
3. Provide health coverage to uninsured children.
The U.S. House of Representatives will soon be considering legislation to improve traditional Medicare and help uninsured kids.
Private MA plans were created to save money, but are actually costing billions more than traditional Medicare. These unfair subsidies are increasing Medicare premiums and threatening the future of Medicare. Savings from reducing MA overpayments should be used to reduce the number of uninsured children in our nation and strengthen assistance for low-income seniors.
In addition, seniors have been subjected to unscrupulous tactics and fraud by MA sales forces.
Here’s what you can do:

Please support legislation that stops the overpayments to private Medicare Advantage plans and improves traditional Medicare, providing coverage to low income seniors and uninsured children. Instead of giving insurance companies billions of extra dollars at the expense of the Medicare program, I urge you to support legislation to create a level playing field for traditional Medicare and private plans.
