Urge Your Senators to Support the Dorgan-Snowe Reimportation Bill

Americans need relief from higher drug prices now.  The best way is to enact a comprehensive, affordable prescription drug program under Medicare.  Until we have leadership in Washington that can do that, safe reimportation of drugs is needed.

  • Urge your Senator to support S. 2328, the Dorgan-Snowe Drug Access and Safety Act.
  • It allows the safe, cheaper importation of drugs in a short amount of time.
  • Urge your Senator to oppose S. 2493, which allows the drug companies and the federal government too much power to manipulate the distribution of drugs.

Subject: Seniors Need Relief from Soaring Drug Prices

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

I urge you to co-sponsor the bi-partisan Dorgan-Snowe bill (S. 2328) to legalize safe drug imports. Millions of seniors are already importing drugs. The Dorgan-Snowe bill would legalize the practice, protect seniors and penalize drug companies that interfere with reimportation. I ask you to oppose the Gregg-Smith bill (S. 2493) because it allows the drug companies and the federal government too much power to manipulate the distribution of drugs.

Reimportation is not a permanent solution to rising drug costs. But in the absence of any other meaningful relief, it will give seniors like me the chance to get the drugs I need at a price I can afford.

Sincerely,
