This week the Senate Finance Committee has the chance to vote to close the Medicare Part D prescription drug doughnut hole.  Members of the Senate Finance Committee are meeting now to vote on health insurance reform legislation.  Senators Bill Nelson and Jay Rockefeller will offer an amendment that will close the doughnut hole once and for all!  Your Senator sits on the Finance Committee and will be a key vote.

As your constituent, I urge you to vote for the Nelson-Rockefeller amendment to close the Medicare Part D doughnut hole this week in the Senate Finance Committee. More than 3.4 million seniors fall into the doughnut hole each year. They must then pay 100% of their drug costs in addition to paying monthly premiums. This is an unfair hardship on America's seniors. You have the chance to fix it. Please support the Nelson-Rockefeller amendment.
