Greetings,
From Your Arizona Alliance for
Retired Americans President Doug Hart:
“Halloween is coming early
for us this year. We are frightened by how
out-of-touch Senator Kyl is in the health reform debate.
While he denounces a public option, he himself enjoys the
benefits of a government-run and administered public option
through Medicare. We’ve been
tricked by Senator Kyl. We want
the treat of a real public option in
healthcare reform.”
THIS FRIDAY, ARIZONA SENIORS
WILL PROTEST KYL'S *TRICKS* AND
*TREATS*
SENIORS
TELL KYL 'STOP OPPOSING PUBLIC OPTION WHILE YOU
RECEIVE GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE -
MEDICARE' On Friday, October 30 at 10 a.m., the
Alliance for Retired Americans will hold a rally and brief press
event in front of Arizona Senator Jon Kyl’s
office.
Senator Kyl was recently included
on a list of 151 U.S. Senate and House members who oppose a
pro-consumer public option for health care, but personally
receive benefits from Medicare, a highly successful model for
the public option currently being debated in
Washington.
JOIN US!
We are asking that you come in
COSTUME! It'll make it fun and a party-atmosphere.
The crazier, the better - but even a t-shirt that says "This is
my Halloween costume" works. Press will be informed that
attendees will be in costume, which increases the likelihood of
press coming.
