Members of Rutgers AAUP-AFT have received information in the mail about supplemental health care benefits available to full members. You too could receive this information made possible by the Rutgers Part-Time Lecturer Faculty Chapter (PTLFC)-AAUP-AFT, if you become a full member. Please upgrade your membership from representation fee payer to full member today and this packet as well as other information will also be sent to you.

Membership in the Rutgers PTLFC of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) and American Federation of Teachers (AFT) costs only a little more than you are currently paying as a representation fee payer.

Full membership dues are 0.50% of your salary per course. For example, a per-course salary rate of $4,230, a full member would pay only 29 cents more per pay period for a semester total of $21.15. The value of membership includes consistent day-to-day advocacy that monitors the implementation of the contract and every 4 years you would have a voice in making improvements in salary and other benefits, when we negotiate the next contract.
