Greetings,

What is up with all this rain? Really, Jersey. SUMMER. Any day now.

Didn't we write a foul-weather veto clause into the last contract? No? Just great raises and awesome benefits thanks to our shrewd negotiators, devoted activists, and most importantly our strong membership support! And if the weather won't cooperate, all the more reason to fire up some union spirit! Let's rally new members! And celebrate at the bar!

We've been out the last two weeks, asking the easy questions--and they only get easier! It's amazing what a friendly office visit can do to brighten a day spent in lonely labs and offices. Many thanks to graduate employees in the environmental sciences and engineering departments for offering us such warm and enthusiastic receptions. And welcome to all our new members!

Of course... we could always do more. We have plenty more people to meet, and sure enough we'll need them to protect our raises and ensure fair treatment in the budget process. Together we're stronger!!
