Now that the state college unions have reached agreement, the AAUP-AFT leadership has been meeting with the university administration over the last two days to try to reach an agreement on salary increases and cost savings at Rutgers for the upcoming year. We believe the talks have been moving in a positive direction, but we need to keep the pressure on. So we ask you to sign the online petition that is being hosted by our sister union, the Union of Rutgers Administrators (URA-AFT). We invite you to join us at the Board of Governors meeting this coming Tuesday, July 14, when we will present the petition and publicly address the Board members. That meeting will take place in Winants Hall on the College Avenue campus at 9:00AM. Please confirm your attendance - aaup@rutgersaaup.org - so we can contact you if any of the plans change.
