Greetings,

Summer is almost over! I know, it's too soon... but admit it, you're just a little excited. Friends who've been away for months are getting into town, the University is humming its way into full activity... and in just a few days we'll meet the new recruits--and that's always fun! We'll make new friends, invent new gossip, decide who's in and who's out. (Seriously, when is Fox going to produce the grad school reality show? It's ripe with possibilities!)

Of course, when it comes to the union everyone is in! We fight the good fight for all employees, no matter how cool they are. We're just awesome like that! But then, I already know how cool you are, because you did the smart thing and signed on as a full member! And you know how important membership is for the work we do. Together we are stronger!

And that's why we'll be out in force this Thursday, August 27, to welcome hundreds of new TAs at their mandatory Orientation. They should know we care. They should know we need them.

You can help! The stronger a showing we make on Thursday, the stronger we'll be all year. Give an hour or two of your time to make a difference. We'll offer snacks and refreshments all day, pizza at lunch and dinner, FREE T-shirts and a FREE copy of our awesome new daily planner.
