Greetings,

Labor Walks Begin for Election 2009:
Defend higher education through political organizing

On Saturday morning, September 26, AAUP-AFT and other labor union members are kicking off our campaign to canvass labor union members about the importance of voting for Corzine-Weinberg on November 3.

AFT research has shown that face-to-face organizing among our members leads to more voter turnout for candidates that will work with us through tough times.

Join us for the first Labor Walk on Saturday, September 26! After this Saturday, you'll have other opportunities every Saturday until election day as well as the AFT phone bank every Wednesday night starting September 30 from 5-8 PM. (We will be meeting at the union office of IBEW Local 456, 1295 Livingston Avenue, North Brunswick, to call AFT members. More details later.)
