Greetings,

Camden Area Labor Walks Begin for Election 2009:
Defend higher education through political organizing

On Saturday morning, September 26, AAUP-AFT and other labor union members are kicking off our campaign to canvass labor union members about the importance of voting for Corzine-Weinberg on November 3.

AFT research has shown that face-to-face organizing among our members leads to more voter turnout for candidates that will work with us through tough times.

Join us for the first Labor Walk on Saturday, September 26! After this Saturday, you'll have other opportunities every Saturday until election day as well as volunteering at any of the three phone bank nights from 5-8 PM--more details will be sent when all is in place.

Please RSVP by replying to this message, so we will know who in AAUP-AFT will be there.

Saturday, September 26

9 AM - 12 Noon

Michael Cain, a member of the Camden County College AFT local, will be there to help coordinate lists, linking up with partners for driving and walking a neighborhood, and to pass out AFT shirts.  You can reach him at 651-442-8031. Please try to make it to the location by 9:00 to sign in with Nicole, the CLC Executive Director, and get your blue AFT T-shirt and walk lists. AAUP-AFT and other AFT leaders will be there!
