Save Century II for Wichita

Greetings,

We need your help to Save Century II for Wichita.  Officials in City Hall are looking over proposals from several companies who want to take over Century II.  Although there has been tremendous support for our campaign to Saven Century II for Wichita, everything is still at risk.

The next few weeks could make  all the difference.  We need your help more than ever. Here are five things  you can do.

First,  join us for a meeting to mobilize to save Century II.

Tuesday, September 20  5:00 p.m.
Union Hall at 1330 E. 1st St.

(North west corner of 1st & Cleveland 4 blocks east of Old Town)

Agenda

  • Volunteers needed to hand-out flyers and get petitions signed, September 24, CII Convention Hall-6:00-8:00 p.m
  • Newspaper Ad
  • City Council workshop

Second,  make a commitment to join us in leafletting at the  September 24 Pops Concert: Three Broadway Divas.  This is by far one of the most attended arts events at Century

Third,  we've now passed 4,000 signatures on the petitionl. You can ask friends, family, and co-workers to add ther names here.  You can send an email to the city council.  Or invite others to send an email.

Fourth, we are planning an ad in the Wichita Eagle.  If you would be interested in adding your anme and helping with the cost of the project, please call Harold Schlechtweg, SEIU, 263-0323 or Anne Marie Brown, Wichita Symphony, 267-5259.

Fifth,  attend  City Council meetings when Century II is discussed.  We'll let you know when we know.

Thanks for all you do.
