Your Help is Needed to Stop E-Comp

Although E-Comp, the mandated merit-pay plan, has been adopted by the Florida Department of Education despite almost universal opposition, Senator Lynn may be willing help thwart this seriously flawed and misguided plan.

As Chair of the Senate Committee on Education, Senator Lynn is in a powerful position to help, but she needs to hear from individual teachers and friends of public education.

This advocacy campaign asks you to take action by sending a message to Senator Lynn and by copying the message to Senate Committee on Education members who represent voters in Central Florida.

We have a chance to persuade Senator Lynn with a flood of messages. Please send her your positive message today. You may use the suggested letter or edit it as you wish.

Subject: Please Help Stop E-Comp

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

Permit me to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of Florida's public schools. In particular, I'd like to thank you for your position on the 65% Solution, and for your vigilance in protecting the arts and physical education in our schools.

As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Education you are positioned to help stop E-Comp, the mandated merit-pay plan that erodes local control of school district policy.

Please urge the Department of Education to stop E-comp, and either sponsor or support legislation that will prevent E-comp from becoming a reality.

Thank you for your efforts and commitment.

Sincerely,

E-Comp, the misguided, mandated merit-pay plan, has been adopted by the Florida Department of Education.

There is a chance that our legislators can use their influence to thwart the implementation of this plan.

Please take action by sending a message enlisting Senator Lynn's assistance to that end.
