Rochester & Genesee Valley NY Labor walks scheduled for Monroe County Legislature in town of Greece.

September 19th, October 3rd, 17th, and 31st
9:30am
2300 West Ridge Road, Rochester, NY 14625
[across from Greece Ridge Mall]

The RGV ALF will be walking in support of Jo Valeka-Voigt (D) running in County Leg district 19 as well as for fellow union member Dan Maloney (D) , UAW for Greece Town Supervisor. With labor’s density in the town of Greece and past targeted efforts to build a strong member to member program there, labor has a good chance of picking up both seats.

For more information on Labor Walk dates and efforts on other races, please contact the RGV ALF at 585-263-2650.

Western NY Labor takes lead to confront attacks on IDA reform in county legislatures. The WNY ALF has been working with local building trades councils to fight off anti-IDA resolutions introduced in Erie and Niagara County legislatures as well as the Amherst Town Board.

These anti– IDA reform resolutions have been introduced as a way to circumvent real reform in Albany. The WNY ALF and its coalition partners have been working with members of the county legislatures to ensure labor standards are part of any resolution that may make its way through committee.

For more information on the WNY ALF activities on IDA reform as well as other issue campaigns, please contact the WNY ALF at 716-852-0375.
