Campaign for Jobs and Economic Recovery Now Update

On December 18, Missouri ACORN, Missouri Provote, Missouri Jobs with Justice and other community and labor groups kicked off the Campaign for Jobs and Economic Recovery. The campaign grows throughout the state with new groups joining, and more people taking to the streets every week.  Read about the campaign’s launch in Kansas City

The Proposed Economic Recovery Plan

Last week, the an Economic Recovery Plan (ERP) passed out of US House of Representatives Appropriations Committee.  The proposal, outlined here, would shore up state social service and safety net programs administered by state workers and also create jobs and rebuild our communities.  Health care continues to be a key issue in economic recovery.

The Campaign for Jobs and Economic Recovery is part of a national effort urging Members of Congress, including U.S. Sen. Bond and Congresswoman Emerson, to support this plan to create millions of jobs now through smart public investments that will also ensure a stronger future for the American economy.

Join us as we fight for an economic recovery plan that will lay the ground work for sustainable growth.  Contact Aaron Burnett by calling 314-644-0466, or email Jobs with Justice to join the campaign!
