On Tuesday,
February 10th at 11am , Missouri Jobs with Justice
and the United Steel Workers will be
marching from Granite City Works to American Steel in
support of the economic stimulus package.
US Steel and ASF-Keystone (American
Steel Foundry) have laid off 2,500 workers,
devastating Southern IL communities. Join us to express the
dire need to pass the Economic Recovery and Reinvestment
Act, which will put American workers back on the
job.
The march will start at
20th Street in Granite City, Illinois 62040 –
Granite City Works in the parking lot at Lee Ave.
and
end at 1700 Walnut, Granite
City, Illinois 62040 – Amsted Rail (American
Steel) in the parking lot on Niedringhaus Ave. across
from the Plant Entrance. The march will
be approximately 1 mile long.
