Save KC's Mental Health Care Safety Net
Greetings,
Stop the Truman Medical Takeover of Western Missouri Mental
Health Center!
Since it opened, the Western Missouri Mental Health Center has
been Kansas City's facility providing services to community
members with acute psychiatric needs. The Center provides
top-notch quality services, as well as employs over 150 Kansas
City citizens.
The Western Missouri Mental Health Center WORKS, and has always
served an important need in Kansas City. They do their job well.
We know this, because the Center is currently a public structure
and therefore is accountable to us, the citizens of Kansas City.
RIGHT NOW, a for-profit company called Truman Medical is
attempting to take over this center and privatize all of its
services. This means that the high-quality services being
provided and our jobs are being threatened! And worse yet, if
profit-driven Truman Medical succeeds, the Center and its
services will be accountable to NO ONE but themselves.
HELP US STOP THE TRUMAN MEDICAL TAKEOVER!

Dear
As a concerned citizen, I am writing to ask you to please FULLY FUND the Western Missouri Mental Health Center.
As a public structure, Western Missouri Mental Health Center provides quality services and good jobs to Kansas City citizens. Privatizing the Center could mean a loss of service quality and good jobs in our community.
Please fully fund the Western Missouri Mental Health Center!

What's At Stake:
Western Missouri Mental Health Center is the only facility in Kansas City providing necessary services to people with acute psychiatric needs.
Privatizing the Western Missouri Mental Health Center could result in a loss of quality services and a loss of jobs in our community.
Privatizing the Center will mean that the Center is no longer accountable to the public, meaning a loss of control and transparency in the how the Center operates and delivers its services.
